These bubbling beauties hold a remarkable piece of history. Made from a piece tide tumbled float glass, their journey across the pacific is almost as interesting as their history in their fishing industry. Initially used as early as the 1840’s to float nets, longlines and drop lines afloat in the pacific ocean, these glass relics were replaced by plastic in the late 1940s, making their remnants 86-186 years old!
Sustainable and ethically made jewelry is better for the planet and it is my goal to offer an enticing alternative to fast fashion using certified post consumer recycled and conflict free metals.
Each piece is handmade in my shop on the North Coast of Haida Gwaii and shipped to you in low branded, re-useable, plastic free packaging. Please reuse, compost or recycle your packaging from Silver + Salmon.
